A primitive bird that lost the ability to fly millions of years ago, developing instead a superlative ability to propel themselves into the icy Antarctic waters. More than any other bird in the world its breeds further south on the ice floes of Antarctic. It places its single egg on both legs, keeping an upright position for incubation with the help of his abdominal fold. It has a single mate.
